Nazwa stanowiska: Post-doc
Wymagania:
1. Ph.D. in nuclear or particle physics.
2. Experience in experiments in the field of nuclear physics or elementary particles at high or intermediate energy.
3. Good programming skills (C/C++).
4. Good knowlegde of the ROOT Cern package.
5. Good presentation skills.
6. Good command of English.
Additional advantage will be:
1. Knowledge of Monte Carlo generators and detector simulations.
2. Knowlegde of AI (neural networks etc.) methods.
Implementation of research tasks in the frame of the OPUS project funded by the National Science Center "Studies of production, decays and structure of light mesons with HADES@GSI" (no. 2023/49/B/ST2/00652).
1. Taking part in the analysis (neutral mesons production) of data collected in elementary reactions p+p/pion+p with the HADES detector at GSI/FAIR facility, Germany,
2. Joining the HADES Collaboration and the relevant Physics Working Group, participating in weekly discussions and active participation in its meetings (at least every few weeks),
3. Taking part in the Low Level Data Analysis (detector calibration etc.),
4. Taking part in data-taking (experimental shifts),
5. Presentation of results at meetings and conferences, as well as writing scientific articles and publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Warunki zatrudnienia:
The position will be based at IFJ PAN, Kraków, with travels and possible short stays at GSI/FAIR. The duration of the position is 12 months and can be extended up to 24 months, provided a satisfactory outcome of the evaluation after the first 12 months.
The target start date is the beginning of 2025, subject to negotiation with the candidate.
Form of employment: contract of employment (2-year full-time).
Amount of financing: The position is funded by the National Science Centre (NCN) in the amount of 140 000 PLN per year for a period of 24 months,
a gross monthly salary of around 8 100 PLN (brutto).
