Wymagania:
- The PhD degree in pharmacy, physics, or chemistry. The PhD degree must be obtained no earlier than 7 years before the year of employment on the project. This period does not include: leave on conditions of maternity leave, additional maternity leave, paternity leave, parental leave, and childrearing leave granted on the basis of the provisions of the Labour Code or receiving sickness benefit or rehabilitation benefit in connection with incapacity for work, including a disease that requires rehabilitation and treatment.
- High evaluation of PhD thesis.
- Experience in experimental work in a research laboratory.
- Scientific achievements documented by publications.
- Very good command of spoken and written English.
- Ability to write and edit scientific texts.
- Conscientiousness, accuracy, very good organization of work.
- Communicativeness and ability to work in a team, strong motivation, creativity.
- The knowledge and experience in broadband dielectric spectroscopy (BDS) investigations carried out at ambient and high-pressure conditions, documented by scientific papers. The ability to analyze and interpret the data from these measurements, especially the observed relaxation processes and their behavior during temperature and pressure changes. The ability to compare the results of BDS studies for neat active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and API-excipient (EXC) binary systems with those from other experimental methods.
- The knowledge and experience in conducting and interpreting FT-IR and FT-Raman spectroscopy (including confocal Raman microscopy) will be an additional advantage.
A post-doc will be responsible for conducting dielectric measurements on selected APIs and their binary mixtures with various excipients. Her/his tasks will mainly include: i) studying the molecular dynamics and kinetics of phase transitions (crystallization, transitions between liquid-crystalline or plastic phases, etc.), especially under high compression; ii) checking whether the method of obtaining a glassy/amorphous phase will affect the physicochemical stability of the API and its local dynamic behavior; iii) testing the Time-Temperature-Pressure (TTP) superposition rule in the examined systems.
She/He will also be obliged to prepare partial reports and scientific publications based on the obtained results.

Warunki zatrudnienia:
Employment contract for 18 months. The salary is PLN 10,000 gross gross/month.
This amount includes non-wage labor costs, including social and health insurance contributions and other elements of remuneration financed by the employer.
Dr hab. Ewa Ozimina-Kamińska is the OPUS project leader from the Medical University of Silesia. The project is carried out in a consortium with the University of Silesia (Leader, supervisor: PhD Eng. Karolina Jurkiewicz). Its main objective is to determine correlations between supramolecular structure, molecular dynamics, physicochemical stability, and solubility in neat APIs and API-excipient binary systems.
The application for the competition should include:
- Motivation letter with justification of interest in the project.
- Curriculum Vitae of the candidate.
- Signed GDPR consent statement (Appendix to the Competition Announcement).
- Information about scientific achievements (publications, participation in research projects, conference presentations).
- A copy of the diploma confirming the obtaining of the doctoral degree.
- At least one reference letter from the supervisor.
Recruitment is divided into two stages:
1. Assessment of the Candidates’ documentation indicated above.
2. Interview.
