Wymagania:
Requirements:
1. MSc degree (or equivalent) in oceanography
2. Experience in laboratory work and chemical analyses of total alkalinity and dissolved inorganic carbon
3. Experience in fieldwork including participation in research cruises and conducting underway measurements of pCO2 and pH in seawater
4. Knowledge of sensor techniques for measuring pCO2 and pH on a total scale
5. Experience in presenting scientific results at the international forum
6. Very good written and spoken English
Task description
The PhD student's tasks will include: (1) preparation and conducting fieldwork, participation in research cruises, (2) collecting environmental data with pCO2 and pH sensors (3) performing statistical analyses and interpreting the obtained results, (4) preparing scientific articles, (5) presenting the obtained results at national and international scientific forum.

The grantee is expected to work within the Polish National Science Centre funded project: ‘Transport and transformation of total alkalinity from continental rivers – the missing components for understanding pH variation in the Baltic Sea’, project number: UMO-2023/49/B/ST10/02690.
