• Hold a PhD in Physics or an equivalent field recognized in Poland. Candidates with degrees in other fields

• Experience in THz spectroscopy techniques, THz-TDS, Raman scattering, etc. Experience with cryogenics.
• Experience in technological processes, lithography, and two-dimensional materials exfoliation.

• Ability of independent data analysis, and literature review, proven by high-quality publications in peer-reviewed
scientific journals.
• High motivation and proactive and collaborative attitude.
Previous experience in one or more methods mentioned below is desirable (but not a prerequisite): THz time-domain
spectroscopy, Raman scattering spectroscopy, strong-light matter coupling, magnetism, electromagnetic resonators
and electromagnetic cavities, plasmonics, electrical transport methods, cryogenic environments, and high magnetic
fields.
We want to design an optimized shape of optical terahertz resonators, focusing on the magnetic component of
incoming THz waves. Attention to the magnetic field requires an innovative design since common metasurfaces are
created to focus the electric field. You will use simulation software for designing resonators, then, you will produce
such metasurfaces, and transfer two-dimensional magnetic materials on them. We want to observe magnon-polaritons
using both, THz optical methods, and Raman scattering. You will co-supervise PhD students in electromagnetic
simulations and laboratory work.
