Wymagania:
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in the project “The domestic politics of EU actions against democratic backsliding (DEUDEM)” led by prof. Aleksandra Maatsch. The project, which is funded by the National Science Centre (NCN), is part of a collaborative Weave project with partners in Germany (Bremen) and Austria (Salzburg). The project analyses how domestic factors – party positions and public opinion – affect the European Union’s ability to act effectively against democratic backsliding. The project is hosted at the Jean Monnet Chair, Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Wroclaw.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
a very good PhD in political science or a closely related discipline,
strong methodological skills,
excellent command of English,
reliability, and
a research agenda that is broadly related to the project.
The successful candidate will be part of an international team, collaborating on all theoretical and empirical aspects of the project, co-supervising student research assistants with two other postdocs in Bremen and Wrocław, and contributing to project publications, individually and with other project members.

Applicants should have:

1. A letter of motivation including an outline of how your research interests and methodological skills relate to the project.
2. An academic CV with a list of publications (providing a link to at least two publications).
3. A scan of your university diplomas (Master and PhD) or an official confirmation of obtaining the PhD degree before assuming this position.
4. Names and emails of two referees.
