Wymagania:
Laboratory of Plant Cell Biology (https://pcb.ug.edu.pl) at Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of University of Gdańsk & Medical University of Gdańsk is looking for a technical research assistant.
Your role: You will participate in research in molecular, cell, and developmental biology of plants by molecular cloning, generating and characterizing transgenic lines in Arabidopsis thaliana, CRISPR/Cas9 mutagenesis, DNA and RNA isolations, PCR-based genotyping, in vitro cultures, and similar. Additionally you will support the lab by preparing media and buffers and taking care of cultivated plants.
Your profile: By starting date you have a BSc, MSc, or PhD degree in a relevant area and wish to begin or continue working in research. You have hands-on experience in molecular biology and an ability to handle complex procedures. You have an understanding of genetics and genetic engineering. You are well-organized and your command of English allows you to communicate with English-speaking colleagues.
We offer: Research work in a university setting as part of a young and well-funded research group. Expert training in varied experimental plant biology techniques. Co-authorships on future publications. This is a full-time 5-year position funded under National Science Centre SONATA BIS 14 grant with a proposed starting date 01.09.2025. Candidates interested in a 5-year commitment are preferred.
