Wymagania:

The selection procedure is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.2.3) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 165 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University:
• holding at least a doctoral degree;
• having relevant scientific achievements;
• taking active part in scientific life.
Additional requirements necessary for employment (indicated in order of priority) Qualification and Project Criteria:
The candidate must meet the requirements stipulated in the Regulations for the allocation of funds for research tasks financed by the National Science Centre regarding research projects, including the following: a) a PhD degree must be conferred in the year of employment in the project or within 7 years before 1 January of the year of employment in the project. For researchers with multiple PhDs, the date of the first PhD award is deemed the reference date. This period may be extended by a time of longterm (in excess of 90 days) documented sick leaves or physiotherapy leaves granted on account of being unfit to work. In addition, the period may be extended by the number of months of a childcare leave granted pursuant to the Labour Code and in the case of women, by 18 months for every child born or adopted, whichever manner of accounting for career breaks is preferable. The above-mentioned period must not be shortened or extended any longer by the call organisers. b) they did not have the principal investigator (prof. Agnieszka Kaczor) as their research supervisor or auxiliary supervisor of their PhD dissertation; c) their PhD degree has been awarded by another institution than the one planned to employ them at this post or they have completed a continuous and evidenced post-doctoral fellowship of at least 10 months in another institution than the host institution for the project and in another country than the one in which they have been conferred a PhD degree.
Candidate’s scientific profile:
- documented, publication-backed experience in conducting spectroscopic measurements and analyzing spectroscopic data, with experience in chiroptical spectroscopy considered an asset,
- know-how in obtaining and characterization of biomaterials,
- fluent in spoken and written English.

Opis zadań:

according to the Work Regulations of the Jagiellonian University Annex 1 to the Work Regulations of the Jagiellonian University – Model scopes of responsibilities and duties of academic teachers.
Description of tasks in the project:
• preparation of amyloid fibrils,
• conducting spectroscopic and microscopic measurements,
• analysis and interpretation of the obtained data,
• scientific supervision of students and PhD students, support in planning and carrying out experiments,
• preparation and editing of scientific publications describing the obtained research results.
