The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:
- Ph.D. in physics or a related field
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
- Demonstrated experience in single-photon generation, manipulation, and detection
- Documented experience in photon-matter interactions and microscopy techniques such as widefield and confocal imaging
- Experience with cryogenic equipment is preferred

Job description:
- Design, construction and characterization of entangled photon pair sources.
- Oversee the integration of entangled photon pair sources with experimental setups in the laboratories.
- Develop and operate microscopy setups for ETPA (entangled two-photon absorption) experiments with solid-state samples.
- Provide scientific mentorship and supervision of Ph.D. students.

We offer employment at a postdoc position in a research grant financed by the National Science Center, Poland within Opus 28 competition. The candidate must meet requirements of the Center, in particular have a doctoral degree obtained not earlier than 12 years before 1 January of the year of employment in the project (this period may be extended in the event of breaks in the scientific career as defined by the Center). A person employed at the postdoc position cannot be employed under another employment contract at the same time.
Planned period of employment: from 1 February 2026 at the earliest, for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension for a maximum of two years.
Remuneration: PLN 140,000 PLN gross per year.
