Wymagania:
Requirements fo the candidate:
• Master’s or Master’s Eng degree in biology, biotechnology or related fields
• Strong interest in cell biology and/or neurobiology
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, good work organization, and strong collaboration abilities
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to independently evaluate data
• Prior experience in following techniques will be an advantage (but not a prerequisite):
o Cell culture (primary and/or established cell lines)
o Work with rodents
o Ability to code in R and/or Python and experience in data science
o Sequencing data analysis and/or multiomic data analysis
There will be two paths for the prospective PhD student: (1) Mechanistic path — focused on understanding how inflammation and aging affect gene regulation and which molecular processes lead to dendritic destabilization and associated cognitive deficits; (2) Therapeutic path — focused on identifying small-molecule compounds that stabilize dendrites under inflammatory conditions and evaluating their potential as candidates to support cognitive function during aging. Your role will also include conducting literature reviews to contextualize your findings, actively participating in lab meetings, presenting your work at national and international conferences, and contributing to the writing of research publications and your PhD thesis.

1. Full-time PhD scholarship 4 years (8 semesters) in amount:
a) before the mid-term evaluation 5500 pln net/month;
b) after mid-term evaluation 6000 pln net/month
2. Position with 100% focus on research (no teaching obligations)
