- Doctorate in economics, other social sciences or in the area of data science (the degree obtained in the year of employment in the project or within 12 years prior to January 1 of the year of employment – NCN rules on extension of this period apply in accordance with NCN Council resolution 84/2024;* candidates close to completion of their doctorates, expecting to receive their degree by the end of August 2026 at the latest may also apply);
- Excellent command of English (C1) enabling easy collaboration and communication with the international project team, work on academic texts in English, preparation of publications in English, and presentations at international conferences;
- Knowledge of quantitative methods; knowledge of Stata, R or similar statistical packages;
- Interest in applying quantitative methods in microeconomics;
- Experience in conducting scientific research resulting in high quality peer-reviewed publications;
- Availability and commitment to the research project;
- Research experience in labour economics and/or applied micro-econometrics will be considered an advantage;
- Other rules and restrictions concerning post-doc employment apply as specified by the general NCN regulations.*

Research work within the project: „Changing times: work and out of work time-use dynamics in the context of technological changes and global shocks”, carried out at the Centre for Economic Analysis, CenEA.
Main tasks to be conducted within the project:
- participation in research tasks in close collaboration with the project PI, dr Michał Myck, and other members of the project team;
- project database development, quantitative work on project micro-data, in particular on time-use data which are the central data source in the project;
- active participation in the preparation and write-up of project publications;
- presentation of project results at national and international academic conferences.
In accordance with the project proposal the main project components cover analysis of the changing nature of worktime allocation, analysis of time allocation patterns from the point of view of job quality, as well as evaluation and examination of time arrangements among partners in couples.
- Fixed term, full-time employment contract for 2,5 years;
- Expected start of the contract: preferably May 2026 and not later than August 2026 in case of later completion of the degree;
- monthly gross salary: 9300 PLN
- the primary place of employment for the selected candidate will be the local office of the Centre for Economic Analysis in Szczecin.

Applications will be evaluated by a selection committee chaired by the project PI dr Michał Myck. Selected candidates will be invited to an online interview, which may be followed by an interview conducted in person at the premises of the Centre for Economic Analysis in Szczecin.
Information regarding the selection of the successful candidate will be publicly announced on the website of the Centre for Economic Analysis (www.cenea.org.pl).
The decision of the selection committee is not subject to appeal.

a) CV (in English) including a list of publications and research activities (presentations and participation in conferences, participation in workshops and research projects, internships, awards)
b) Cover letter (in English) which should include:
- contact information for two referees willing to provide written references;
- a declaration from the candidate that he/she is not funded by other National Science Centre projects;
- a declaration that the Centre for Economic Analysis will be the primary employer of the candidate, if successful.
c) the most relevant publication (in Polish or English), attached in PDF format
d) a copy of doctoral degree or an official document from the relevant institution confirming the expected date of degree completion;
