Wymagania:
Requirements for the candidate:
• Master's degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry or related field
• Good knowledge of basics of molecular and cell biology
• Basic hands-on experience in at least one of the fields: molecular biology, protein biochemistry, protein activity assays, structural biology
• Knowledge of structural biology methods will be an advantage
• Written and spoken fluency in English
• Willingness to learn and take new challenges, ability to work independently, analytical thinking
• Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude
As a PhD student, your responsibilities will include:
• Human cell lines engineering using CRISPR/Cas9
• Generation and analysis of the proteomics data
• AI-based protein-protein interaction screening and validation
• Purification and biochemical characterization of large RNA-protein complexes involved in pre-mRNA splicing
• Structural characterization of successfully purified complexes by single-particle cryo-EM
• Model building, refinement and validation
• In vivo validation of the structural data
• Active participation in regular group meetings as well as international conferences and workshops
• Contribution to manuscript preparation and writing of the PhD thesis

1. Full-time PhD scholarship 4 years (8 semesters) in amount:
a) before the mid-term evaluation 5500 pln net/month;
b) after mid-term evaluation 6000 pln net/month

You will join the project entitled “Mechanistic studies of the U12-dependent splicing pathway” carried out within the framework of the Sonata Bis grant (025/58/E/NZ1/00531) from the National Science Centre in Poland and led by Dr. Wojciech Galej.
