Wymagania:

We require:

• Ph.D. in any relevant area (e.g., biology, chemistry, etc.), defended no more than 12 years before the start of the contract (according to the rules of the funding agency).

• Experience related to at least one of the following areas: experimental structure determination of biological macromolecules (e.g., cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, experimental molecular biology of RNA (e.g., NGS-based methods), or biophysical analyses of macromolecular structure and dynamics
• Proactive approach to achieving objectives, good interpersonal skills, collaborative and adaptive attitude
• Very good organizational skills, especially project and time management skills
• Very good command of English (written and oral communication) and presentation skills

Opis zadań:

This position is suited to candidates with strong experience in experimental structural biology of proteins, RNA, and their complexes, particularly with demonstrated expertise in cryo-EM structure determination of RNA, proteins, and RNPs. We welcome applicants with complementary expertise in studying RNA structure and RNA–protein interactions, including the integration of computational and experimental approaches. We are especially interested in candidates whose background aligns with our research program focused on the design of RNA–protein complexes. An interest in applying for external funding, including fellowships or research grants, is highly desirable.

We offer:

• Full-time contract (“umowa o pracę”) for 36 months, including the first fixed-term contract of 6 months
• Gross monthly remuneration of 9 700 PLN. Additional bonuses such as the 13th salary after working for the Institute for six months in a given calendar year, or Christmas bonus may supplement this salary.
