Wymagania:
The candidate should hold a PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics (obtained not earlier than 7 years ago) and fulfill other formal requirements of the National Science Centre. Preference will be given to candidates already working in the area of the project. An application should include:
• curriculum vitae,
• copy of PhD diploma,
• list of publications,
• short description of research interests.
The project aims to further our understanding of some major open questions in the area of algorithms on strings, motivated by possible applications in bioinformatics. To this end, it will combine tools from combinatorics on words, algorithms and data structures in the Word RAM model, and finally the emerging field of fine-grained complexity.

Warunki zatrudnienia:
I am offering one position in my project “Processing massive string data and beyond: algorithms and conditional lower bounds”, funded by the National Science Centre. The position is intended for 12 months (with an option for extension for another 12 months), starting in October 2026 (flexible).
The position comes with full-time employment with a gross salary of around 8900 PLN and allows for a reasonably comfortable living in Wroclaw. It also includes basic health insurance, a year-end bonus, and travel funds.
