This period may be extended by the time spent on long-term (over 90 days) documented sick leave or rehabilitation benefits due to incapacity for work. In addition, this period may be extended by the number of months spent on childcare and parental leave granted under the provisions of the Labour Code, and, in the case of women, by 18 months for each child born or adopted, if this method of indicating career breaks is more advantageous.
b). obtained a doctoral degree in an entity other than the entity where employment in this position is planned, or completed at least 10 months of continuous and documented postdoctoral internship in an entity other than the entity carrying out the project and in a country other than the country of obtaining the doctoral degree in accordance with the Regulations on granting funds for the implementation of research tasks financed by the National Science Centre in the scope of research projects https://www.ncn.gov.pl/sites/default/files/pliki/uchwaly-rady/2024/uchwala84_2024-zal1.pdf
• PhD in Chemistry or a related field.
• Experience in the synthesis of oxide catalysts with controlled grain morphology
• Experience in the physicochemical characterization of oxide materials, including in situ studies and synchrotron-based investigations
• The candidate should have a documented scientific track record in the form of publications in reputable, peer-reviewed high-impact factor journals, with a significant authorship contribution (preferably confirmed by first-author or corresponding-author position).

Opis zadań:

The project is entitled “Co₃O₄|MₓOᵧ-Type Oxide Heterojunctions – Theoretical and Experimental Insights into the Relationship Between Structure and Redox Catalytic Reactivity” and concerns the synthesis, physicochemical characterization, and investigation of the activity of composite redox catalysts with a heterojunction structure containing cobalt(II,III) oxide and other oxides (CeO₂, MgO, Cu₂O).
The scope of duties includes participation in the implementation of project tasks, including conducting experimental work related to the synthesis of redox catalysts designed for the activation of C–H bonds in methane and C=C bonds in propylene. The work involves the preparation of simple and doped oxides (including cobalt, copper, and magnesium oxides) with controlled morphology, as well as their assembly into heterojunctions.
Tasks will also include conducting catalytic tests, including those using isotopically labeled reagents, as well as basic physicochemical characterization of the obtained materials. The candidate will perform surface state investigations using in situ methods (including selective thermal desorption of alkali metals – SR-TAD, and work function measurements using the Kelvin method), as well as advanced in situ characterization (e.g. XRD, DRIFT, XAS).
The scope of responsibilities further includes analysis and interpretation of research results, providing substantive support to students involved in the project, and preparing manuscripts for scientific publications.
