Nazwa stanowiska: PhD Student
Wymagania:
A master's degree in chemistry or biotechnology, with a specialization in drug biotechnology.
The scholarship may be awarded to a person who, at the time of commencing the project, is a doctoral student in a doctoral school in the chemical sciences conducted by an authorized organizational unit of a university, a research institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a research institute, or an international research institute operating in the territory of the Republic of Poland established under separate regulations.
Excellent command of English at the B2 level, both spoken and written, enabling the development of scientific results in the form of publications and presentations at international conferences.
Ability to work with Microsoft Office software and scientific software, including ChemSketch, ChemOffice, Isis Draw, Top Spin, and Mestrenova.
Ability to plan and conduct chemical syntheses of heterocyclic compounds.
Documented practical laboratory experience with heterocyclic compounds, including indole, carbazole, and pyridine derivatives. Skills in working with chemical compounds under anaerobic and/or anhydrous conditions.
Ability to use automated flash chromatography.
Advanced knowledge of spectroscopic techniques, including 1H 13 C NMR and IR MS, enabling independent structure analysis of obtained compounds.
Implementation of selected research tasks in the Opus 20 project "The Effect of UPF1 ATP Mimetics on the Mutant Immunopeptidome," no. UMO-2020/39/B/NZ7/02677, carried out at the Faculty of Chemistry, Gdańsk University of Technology, Department of Organic Chemistry. These tasks include the synthesis and full structural and spectroscopic characterization of the designed UPF protein ligands, analysis and interpretation of obtained results, preparation of reports, presentations, and text fragments of scientific publications.

Scientific scholarship for a period of 2 months, i.e. until (August 31, 2026) salary PLN 5,000 gross/month
- a scan of the Master's diploma;
- confirmation of enrollment in the third-cycle program;
- the candidate's curriculum vitae/CV
- a list of scientific achievements, including publications and conference presentations
- consent to the processing of the candidate's personal data for the purposes of the competition
