Wymagania:

• Master’s degree (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field);
• Knowledge of electrochemical techniques (including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, cyclic/linear voltammetry) and testing in two- and three-electrode configurations;
• Experience in surface research and modification (e.g., corrosion testing, microscopic techniques, deposition of thin films on metallic and non-metallic substrates);
• Knowledge of software for data analysis and graphical representation (e.g., MS Office, Origin)
• Good command of spoken and written English;
• Accuracy, conscientiousness, and good work organization.
Additional assets:
• co-authorship of scientific publications;
• documented active participation in scientific conferences.

Opis zadań:

The doctoral student will participate in the National Science Center’s, Poland, SONATA-21 project titled: “Organic Gel Electrolyte: Can polymer gel electrolytes with a biodegradable matrix and non-toxic components function in sodium-ion batteries?”

The assigned tasks will include the synthesis of gel electrolytes for sodium-ion batteries using the direct/indirect casting method, as well as a thorough characterization of their electrochemical and thermal properties and their impact on battery performance. The doctoral student will participate in the analysis and discussion of data and in the preparation of scientific publications, and fulfil responsibilities required by the doctoral school of Poznan University of Technology.

Warunki zatrudnienia:

4-year-long doctoral scholarship (including 29 months funded from the project’s budget). The scholarship amount is in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Higher Education and Science (during the period of funding from the project budget, the doctoral scholarship amounts to 5,086 PLN gross prior to the midterm evaluation and 5,501 PLN gross after the midterm evaluation).

Competition results will be announced on July 17, 2026. (The project manager reserves the right to conduct an interview on July 15, 2026, to verify the candidate’s declared knowledge and skills.)
The scholarship recipient will be selected by a selection committee chaired by the project manager. After collecting the applications, the selection committee will evaluate the candidates based on the submitted documents in accordance with the National Science Center’s competition regulations. Candidates will be notified of the results by email immediately after the competition is concluded.
