Wymagania:

• Basic knowledge of electrochemical techniques (cyclic, linear voltammetry) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
• MSc degree in Physical Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Materials Science, Electronics, or a closely related field, with a strong background in electrochemistry or photoelectrochemical systems.
• Familiarity with fabrication of nanomaterials and their characterization methods (e.g., UV-Vis and Raman spectroscopy, XRD, SEM, AFM).
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret experimental data and use software tools such as Origin. MATLAB, or Python for data processing would be beneficial.
• Laboratory research experience, particularly in designing experiments, troubleshooting, and optimizing protocols.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English, for preparing reports, drafting publications, and presenting results at conferences.
• Open to work effectively within a multidisciplinary, international research team.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain detailed experimental documentation.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, adaptability to evolving project requirements, and genuine enthusiasm for research and innovation.

Opis zadań:

• Active involvement in conducting electrochemical and photoelectrochemical measurements, providing technical support alongside a Post-Doctoral researcher.
• Designing and executing experiments to evaluate the performance of fabricated non-stoichiometric metal oxide electrodes used as photoswitches.
• Preparing detailed reports on measurement processes and performing in-depth analysis of the obtained data to derive meaningful conclusions.
• Contributing to the development of electrochemical sensing platforms based on photoswitchable metal oxides, including their application to micropollutant detection.
• Collaborating with team members on the preparation of high-quality scientific publications, ensuring the accuracy and clarity of the reported research findings.
• Presenting research outcomes at national and international conferences, fostering academic dialogue and staying current with advancements in the field.

Warunki zatrudnienia:

• In addition to the standard doctoral scholarship* provided within the Doctoral School, the PhD student will receive an additional stipend of PLN 6,000 per month for 4 years under the project.
• Work within two interdisciplinary research teams, combining expertise in materials engineering and (photo)electrochemistry.
• Access to unique research infrastructure for material synthesis and electrochemical/photoelectrochemical characterization.
• Opportunities for international mobility, including research stays and internships with project partners.
• Opportunity to present research outcomes at international conferences and contribute to high-quality scientific publications.

Dodatkowe informacje:

*If you hold a degree from a university in Poland, registration for the Doctoral School is open until September 2, 2026.
The PhD will be carried out in the field of Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Space Technologies.
