- is a PhD student enrolled in a doctoral school or doctoral studies at a university in Poland
- has theoretical knowledge of physical optics, in particular wave optics, interferometry, and the fundamentals of laser beam propagation (e.g. Gaussian beams, Laguerre-Gaussian modes)
- has practical skills in building and aligning optical setups on an optical table (e.g. interferometers, systems involving imaging and polarization elements)
- experience with spatial light modulators (SLM) and/or DMD devices, as well as with digital holography, will be considered an advantage
- has skills in using software for data acquisition and analysis (e.g. Matlab or Python); basic knowledge of image processing or machine learning will be an additional asset
- has the ability to document research results and prepare them for publication or conference presentation
- has a command of English sufficient to conduct scientific work and publish results
Research tasks will be defined within the framework of the NCN OPUS project No. 2025/59/B/ST7/02238: "Decomposition of Laguerre-Gaussian modes using deep learning".
Main tasks:
- Building, aligning and maintaining the measurement setup, using holographic correction methods
- Analysis of experimental results and continuous development of algorithms for measurement data analysis
- Developing coding tools based on dynamic digital holography

- Employment period: 12 months, with a possible extension of up to 4 years
- The scholarship holder will be selected through a competition, governed by the Regulations for Awarding NCN Scientific Scholarships in Research Projects Funded by the National Science Centre
