Implementation of research tasks within the NCN OPUS project No. 2025/59/B/ST7/02238:
"Decomposition of Laguerre-Gaussian modes using deep learning", in particular training and
optimizing a deep learning model for modal decomposition, close collaboration with the
experimental team, and contribution to the dissemination of the project's results.
Tasks:
- Training and optimizing the deep learning model for LG mode decomposition using Python or
Matlab, based on numerical simulations and experimental data
- Collaborating with the PhD student responsible for the experimental part, to ensure the AI model
aligns with the experimental setup
- Collaborating with the student responsible for data preparation, to process and curate
experimental images for model training and testing
- Contributing to experimental data acquisition, ensuring compatibility between the experimental
setup and the machine learning model
- Assisting in refining experimental methodologies to produce high-quality datasets for AI model
development
- Supporting the integration of experimental results into the deep learning workflow for model
validation
- Developing user-friendly implementations of the trained network for dissemination of project
results
- Facilitating open sharing of AI tools and outcomes with the research community
- Presenting findings at leading scientific conferences in optics and photonics
- Promoting the project's outcomes through publications and outreach activities
- employment contract for a fixed term, with a possible extension depending on the project's
duration
