• Master’s degree in animal science, veterinary inspection, or a related field;
• experience working in a molecular genetics laboratory, with a particular focus on the isolation of DNA and RNA, the quantitative and qualitative assessment of DNA and RNA, gene expression analysis using RT-qPCR, and NGS analysis.
• experience in fieldwork, particularly on a poultry farm;
• practical knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Paint) and basic statistical analyses;
• motivation to pursue scientific research, creativity in problem-solving, independence, ability to work as part of a team, and availability;
• communicative proficiency in spoken and written English.
• DNA and RNA extraction, quantitative and qualitative assessment, and methodology validation;
• conducting RT-qPCR assays;
• performing 16S metagenomic analysis;
• analysis and interpretation of results and preparation of scientific manuscripts
• preparation of a PhD thesis on a topic related to the project: "Molecular Mechanisms of Phenotypic Plasticity in Native Chicken Breeds"

Doctoral scholarship:
• before the mid-term evaluation: PLN 3,466.90 gross (37% of the professor’s salary);
• after a positive mid-term evaluation: PLN 5,340.90 gross (57% of the professor’s salary).
