Nazwa stanowiska: Student Assistant
Wymagania:
MA or BA degree in linguistics, philosophy or a related field.
Interest and experience in the field of Argumentation.
High standard of written and spoken English.
Knowledge of basic website and social media platforms.
This role would particularly suit an MA or PhD level student, with some experience of research projects.
This is an NCN-funded, one-year position for a student who will act as a Project Assistant. The role is part of the OPUS grant: Aida – Attitude and Identity in Argumentation. This project explores functions of argumentation and investigate the role of speaker identity in argumentative discourse. All research tasks will be carried out in English. The project is hosted by the Department of Linguistics and Communication; Principal Investigator: dr hab. Martin Hinton.
The position would begin from 1st October, 2026 and involve work on site at the faculty building in Lodz.
The successful candidate will carry out research tasks and assist the Principal Investigator at all levels of the project.
This means in particular:
1. Corpus annotation
2. Corpus building
3. Website and social media of project
4. Administrative assistance to Principal Investigator
The student will also have the opportunity to participate in conferences and workshops, and to contribute to presentations and publications.
