Requirements:
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in theoretical physics or a related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in computational physics, particularly in the area of nanostructures. High motivation for scientific research will be considered an asset.
Description of duties:
Development of a many-body computational tool for calculating excitonic properties in multi-crystal quantum-dot systems. Execution of atomistic and k·p calculations for both neutral and charged excitonic complexes, including analyses under external field conditions.
Tasks:
- Calculations of single- and many-body spectral properties for single QDs
- Development of SCF Method for Multi-excitons
- Electric and Magnetic Field studies
- Coupled Double-Dot Systems
- Multi-Dot Stacks and Machine Learning Acceleration.

Employment conditions:
A scholarship in the amount of PLN 5000 per month.
Planned period of employment: 38 months from November 2, 2026, to December 31, 2029

Certificate of student status/ PhD student
Applicants will be evaluated by a selection committee appointed by the Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics. The
committee will recommend the awarding (or rejection) of the scholarship no later than 22.10.2026 r.
Candidates will be notified of the outcome of the competition by e-mail.
In the event of resignation of the selected candidate, the right to indicate the next candidate from the ranking list is reserved.
