Nazwa stanowiska: PhD Student- scholarship
Wymagania:
We are looking for a PhD student to join the team in the International Centre for Cancer Vaccine Science
(ICCVS) hosted by the University of Gdańsk. The scholarship is offered in the frame of the project "The
impact of UPF1 ATP mimetics on the mutant immunopeptidome”. The project is funded by the National
Science Centre within the programme OPUS under grant agreement no. UMO-2020/39/B/NZ7/02677.
Profile of candidates and requirements:
1. MSc degree in biotechnology, chemistry or related field.
2. Knowledge of necessary laboratory techniques, particularly experience in cell culture.
3. Very good written, oral communication and presentation skills.
4. Good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
5. Commitment to working collaboratively within an inclusive and diverse multicultural environment.
6. Strong motivation to work in research and ability to work individually as well as in a team.
7. Status of PhD student at the University located in Poland.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Biological evaluation of the selected ligands and their derivatives against the target protein; hUPF1.
2. Design in vitro and in vivo experiments. Make in vitro experiments for the selected ligands (and derivatives) for the UPF1 protein and cellular thermal shift assay methods.
3. Perform FRET assay experiments to study interactions between NMD genes.
4. Preparing scientific publications and analysis of data from biological experiments.

Warunki zatrudnienia:
We offer:
1. Scholarship contract for up to 10 months, not longer than till 31.08.2027. Scholarship amount is 5000 PLN.
