Opis zadań:

A major challenge—complex image reconstruction and low triple-coincidence statistics—will be addressed by developing physics-informed deep learning models. Focused on prostate cancer imaging, the research integrates Monte-Carlo simulations, phantom measurements, and histopathology across cell cultures, animal models, and clinical patients. The expected results include the first-ever clinical positronium imaging of prostate cancer, novel acquisition protocols, and deep insights into the underlying pathophysiology. Ultimately, this methodology will enhance PET diagnostic accuracy and throughput while reducing patient radiation exposure and operational costs.
