Wymagania:

Requirements:
1) PhD in microbiology, molecular biology, or related life science discipline. To be eligible for the competition, you
must have obtained a doctoral degree in the year of employment on the project or within the 12 years preceding 1
January of that year.
2) Proven experience with RNA biology and/or bacterial genetics (preferably in anaerobic or gut microbes).
3) Background in transcriptomics is a plus (RNA-seq library preparation and analysis).
4) Expertise in RNA biochemistry methods is a plus (Northern blotting, EMSA, RNA structure probing).
5) Demonstrated ability to work independently and supervise junior researchers.
6) Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with a track record of publications in microbiology or RNA biology.

Opis zadań:

The candidate will be expected to have prior experience in RNA biology or molecular genetics with experience in anaerobic microbiology considered an advantage. The postdoc will independently lead the envelope stress regulatory arm and the synthetic RNA engineering component, including the design, expression, and phenotypic testing of strains and constructs. They will also contribute to the development of mechanistic assays (e.g. EMSA, dual-reporter assays, RNA affinity purification), data interpretation, and manuscript preparation. This role is tailored as a stepping-stone towards scientific independence, with opportunities to co-supervise and project development at later stages. The postdoctoral researcher will have access to mentoring, networking, and opportunities to present at international meetings, in alignment with their long-term career development.
