Wojciech Sowa elected HERA Network Chair

We are pleased to inform that dr hab. Wojciech Sowa, NCN coordinator in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, has been elected HERA Network Chair. HERA (Humanities in the European Research Area) is a partnership between 24 Humanities Research Councils across Europe and the European Commission, with the objective of firmly establishing the humanities in the European Research Area and in the European Commission Framework Programmes. The NCN joined the HERA consortium in 2011. »

We are pleased to announce that the international project AMIS, involving a Polish research team led by dr Mikołaj Leszczuk from AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow was awarded funding in the CHIST-ERA call, supporting research in the field of information and communication technology. Scientists from France, Poland and Spain will help people understand broadcasting news presented in a foreign language and compare this news to a corresponding one in the user's mother tongue. »
