She performed research at the Department of Physical Biochemistry in the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology at the Jagiellonian University as part of her master’s thesis. In 2012, she graduated from a full-time engineering course at the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics at AGH University of Science and Technology. Her engineering diploma thesis research was related to polymeric systems for controlled drug release. During her PhD studies, she was a chief editor of the science series of the Jagiellonian University PhD students’ journal. In 2016, she was awarded a doctorate degree in Chemistry (title of the dissertation: “Metal ions modification of proteins from transferrin family for biomedical application”). She has co-authored scientific papers published in international journals, and a patent application. She was an investigator in five different research projects financed by the National Science Centre and Małopolskie Centre of Entrepreneurship, including her own Preludium grant entitled “Transferrin and transferrin receptor role in ruthenium complexed transport into cancer cells”.
