  • Faculty of Technology and Chemical Engineering

Graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (specialization: physical chemistry). In 2000, she began her doctoral studies at the Szczecin University of Technology (research on the synthesis and properties of molecular nanostructures). Between 2001 and 2004, she was employed as a researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden, where she continued to work on the research initiated in Poland. She defended her doctoral dissertation in August 2004 at the Technical University of Dresden (Germany). In 2005, she held a postdoctoral fellowship at Surrey University, Guildford, Advanced Technology Institute in Great Britain. In October 2005, she returned to the Faculty of Technology and Chemical Engineering of the West Pomeranian University of Szczecin (then known as the Polytechnic of Szczecin). In 2008, she obtained the title of habilitated doctor, and four years later that of professor of physical sciences in the field of chemical technology. Since 2015, she has been employed as full professor at the Faculty of Technology and Chemical Engineering of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin.

In 2006-2014, she served as the Director of the Centre for Knowledge-Based Technologies and Nanomaterials. In 2015, she was appointed as the head of the scientific board of the regular national conference "Grafen i inne materiały 2D” ["Graphene and Other 2D Materials"]. She has managed eleven projects in basic and applied research. She has served as a thesis advisor for six successful doctoral dissertations, all of which received a distinction from the Board of the Faculty of Technology and Chemical Engineering. She has served as the evaluator for the European research project, Graphene Flagship, several times and sat as an expert on the ST5 and ST8 panels of the National Science Centre.

She has published more than two hundred papers in journals from the Philadelphia list (Hirsch index = 26, number of citations (without self-citations) = more than 2200).
