  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

    Our group has a strong research focus on nano- and meso-scale phenomena, in particular modeling,fabrication and characterization of hyperbolic and multilayer metamaterials working in UV-Vis range. Core activities also include the study and characterization of hybrid soft matter and plasmonic materials with particular attention to their photonic and photo-thermal response. We own a facility for nano/micro-fabrication of 3D polymeric structures and 2,5D patterning of metallic nanoparticles synthesized "in situ" by 2-Photons Direct Laser Writing. The fabrication techniques we do manage allowed us to realize several advanced optical devices, as super-lenses for optical hyper resolution, and plasmonic platforms for sensing and SERS. Our labs are also equipped with non linear optical, fs and ps resolved spectroscopies, along with a large characterization facility (2P-Confocal microscope integrated with an Atomic Force Microscope, an integrated confocal microscope/SNOM and an UV-IR spectroscopic ellipsometer VASE.     We believe that our expertise is fairly tailored for the project LIMERS-SP. Nevertheless, we are strongly intersted in any project dealing with advanced optics and plasmonics, or advanced optical fabrication topics, with a particular reference to quantum physical security and quantum microscopy.
