JPIAMR 13th Call Partner Search Tool

This is a match-making section for JPIAMR 13th call - One Health interventions to prevent or reduce the development and transmission of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

General Information

  • Type: Partner looking for project
  • Organisation: Dublin City University
  • Country: Ireland (IE)

Research area

  • Scientific area(s):
    1. Understand the impact of interventions on development and transmission of AMR
    2. Design, implement, evaluate, and compare innovative interventions to control the development and transmission of AMR
  • One Health Setting:

    Human Health Environment

  • Keywords:

    genomics; population genetics; bacteria; parasites;

  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

    I have extensive experience in the population & evolutionary genomics of clonal bacteria, including pangenomics (doi: 10.1038/s41598-019-54004-5), outbreak tracking (doi: 10.1099/mgen.0.000352), and long-read sequencing for plasmid resolution (doi: 10.1128/mSphere.00130-19). My background spans bacterial and parasite (Leishmania) genomics, and I am interested in developing better models of pangenome evolution, HGT and adaptation.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

    I am interested in projects involving pangenome analysis of gram -ve bacteria or unicellular parasites (NTDs). I am interested in resolving genome structure, plasmid variation, phylogenomic patterns, HGT, pan-interactomics, and population dynamics in diverse pathogens.
