Animal Health Environment
antimicrobial resistance surveillance epidemiology microbiology bioinfomatics
We are a group of researchers at the Norwegian Veterinary Institute working with expertise in veterinary microbiology, surveillance, epidemiology, bioinformatics and statistics, and more. The research group has a long experience in work on AMR and veterinary medicine in general. We have a long experience in surveillance of antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial usage in the veterinary sector in Norway including feed, food, and animals. Norway is a low prevalence country which is the only country with a search and destroy-policy for LA-MRSA in the Norwegian pig population aimed to prevent the human population. Additionally, we have experience of investigations of antimicrobial resistance in the wild-life and different environmental reservoirs as well as working in LMICs. The Norwegian Veterinary Institute (NVI) is a national biomedical institute delivering research-based knowledge and contingency support in the fields of animal health, fish health, and food safety.
We would like to be partner in any of the two areas for the call wherever you need a partner from the veterinary part and look forward to be contacted to discuss possible collaboration.
