The Laboratory of Environmental Toxicology at the National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics has over 20 years of experience in environmental toxicology and over 10 years of experience in nanotoxicology. The laboratory offers testing services for surfaces and substances against several BSL-1 and BSL-2 microorganisms using the antimicrobial activity assays of samples in suspensions (ISO 20776, EURL ECVAM DB-ALM Protocol No 33) and antimicrobial activity assays of non-porous surfaces (including photoactive materials) (ISO 27447, ISO 22196). The photocatalytic efficiency of surfaces can be tested under UVA and UVC radiation conditions. Additionally, the testing of the biofilm prevention, biofilm eradication, and biofilm repelling of surfaces are possible.
Our experience could be especially useful for developers of bactericidal materials and chemicals.
