  We have expertise in studies of diversity, dynamics, and reduction of abundance of different antibiotic resistance genes and pathogens in wastewater treatment systems and fate of microbes carrying ARGs in the environment (incl agroecosystem); we apply DNA/RNA based methods for characterization of phylogenetic and functional structure of microbial communities and microbial risk factors (amplicon-based and shotgun sequencing of microbial communities and quantification of abundance of microbial groups and genes using quantitative PCR).
