This is a match-making section for JPIAMR 13th call - One Health interventions to prevent or reduce the development and transmission of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
Human Health Animal Health Environment
antibiotic resistance mechanisms; multi-drug resistant bacteria
We have expertise in investigating protein family/homologues, structure, function/activity, complex formation, and assembly. We focus on proteins involved in bacteria antibiotic resistance and their evolution within bacteria kingdom. We use structural biology, molecular and cellular biology, and computational biology to highlight the important hypothesis(es) and route(s) to understand these proteins activities, and design intervention strategies against/interfere with their activities.
Projects dealing with the design, implementation, evaluation, and comparison of interventions to tackle the problem of bacteria antibiotic resistance between different One Health settings. Projects that can include bacterial efflux pumps as an important bacteria antibiotic resistance mechanism.
