Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic / Animal model/germ-free rodent/Intestinal microbiota/Genomics
Our lab has several expertises in microbiology, modelling including Pharmacokinetic -pharmacodynamic (PKPD) or Physiological Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) and animal experiments. We can conduct in vivo experiments like PKPD studies in farm animals (pigs, sheep, goats) as well as in rodents models. Specifically, we are able to explore the impact of antimicrobial drugs (or others substances) on the intestinal microbiota of humans by using germ-free rodents. We are also able to perform phenotypic/genomic analysis and implement in vitro experiments (e.g. time-kill curve).
We would like to contribute to any project exploring the impact of an intervention on AMR by adding a PKPD approach using in vivo (specific animal models) or in vitro experiments.
