Just One Giant Lab (JOGL) galvanises a global community of scientific experts, activists, innovators, entrepreneurs, and students to create participatory research programs for understanding and solving complex health, environmental, social and humanitarian issues. JOGL is uniquely placed to connect talent with need, and foster networks and interactions that can deliver research and innovation projects at a fraction of the cost of traditional institutions. A case in point is the OpenCovid19 initiative that develops low-cost open-source tools and methodologies that are safe and easy to use in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are interested in joining forces with research teams looking at applying an open participation approach to antibiotic stewardship at the community level. Our approach involves co-creation, implementation, and evaluation of interventions that have the potential to substantially prevent or reduce the development and transmission of antibiotic resistance, within and across human, animal, and environmental settings, through open science. We are interested in collaborating with projects all over the world, especially in Africa.
