Our group developed an expertise in the field of nanomaterials synthesis. We produce nanomaterials that exhibit strong biocidal properties against bacteria, fungi and most probably virus (under testing) with low toxicity against human cells. We are working with Veterinary Institute that possesses a BSL-3* lab. This enable us to investigate the possible utilization of nanomaterials to fight infections (bacterial, fungal, viral) that affect pets and cattle.
The project we would like to join could be 2-folds. The metallic nanomaterials we produce exhibit strong biocidal properties and they are highly stable. They can be combined with polymers to develop biocidal coating to fight AMR. The second aim is to investigate these nanomaterials to develop treatment against multidrug resistant microorganism. These nanomaterials a can be easily combined with other treatments. We can be an active partner in the development of innovative solutions based on nanomaterials and nanocomposites.
