Antimicrobial resistance Molecuar Epidemiology Staphylocci ESBL Tuberculosis
I have been consistently studying the genomic evolution of pathogenic bacteria, including staphylococci and tuberculosis, and pathogenicity, and drug resistance mechanisms of resistant bacteria for about 18 years. In addition, I have international knowledge and experience that I have put into overseas research institutes such as USA (Washington State University 2010), China (Fudan University 2015-6), Germany (University of Düsseldorf 2018, University of Konstanz 2014) and Japan (Jichi Medical University 2021). In addition, I am the Leader of the molecular epidemiology surveillance program for drug-resistant bacteria and tuberculosis, which is conducted jointly with the Federal Medial Center Owerri, a national hospital for tertiary care in Owerri, the capital of Imo in southern Nigeria.
I will happy to join any project that focused on antimicrobial resistance in Gram +ve and Gram -ve bacteria of public health importance
