This is a match-making section for JPIAMR 16th call -AMR diagnostics and surveillance 2023 (DISTOMOS).
Human Health
Experiment Evolution; Antibiotics; High-Throughput; Rapid Sequencing
We have expertise in high-throughput laboratory evolution and access to a large number of gram-negative bacterial clinical isolates from multiple hospitals that have been profiled, including their whole-genome sequence data. We plan to evolve these isolates to a wide range of conventional antibiotics to assess their adaptation potentials and evolutionary trajectories. We are interested in using rapid sequencing technologies and microscopy to quickly determine the most effective treatment regime.
We are a group from Hannover Medical School/Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research in Germany, looking for: 1. Expertise in rapid sequencing methods that can aid rapid identification of antimicrobial resistance genes. 2. Expertise in AMR with gram-negative pathogens, mechanisms of action and bioinformatics support. 3. Expertise in high-throughput microscopy with gram-negatives. Or 4. University hospitals or academic teaching hospitals who can provide profiled E.coli or Psuedomonas clinical isolates
