16th JPIAMR transnational call for research projects - AMR diagnostics and surveillance 2023 (DISTOMOS)

This is a match-making section for JPIAMR 16th call -AMR diagnostics and surveillance 2023 (DISTOMOS).

General Information

  • Type: Partner looking for project
  • Organisation: BiFlow Systems GmbH
  • Country: Germany (DE)
  • Career stage: Other.

Research area

  • Scientific area(s) of the call:
    1. Topic 1: to develop novel, or improve existing, diagnostics, including point of care diagnostics, that can rule out antimicrobial use or help identify the most effective antimicrobial treatment
  • One Health Setting:

    Human Health

Animal Health (incl. wild-life, livestock, acquatic organisms, and companion animals)
    Plants (incl. trees and crops)
    Food
    Environment (incl. natural and built)

  • Keywords:

lab on chip; microarray; biosensor; integration; microfluidics

  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

We provide an established lab-on-a-chip technology capable of performing all assay steps required for detection based on nucleic acids (but also immunoassays). It is fully-integrated, and a control and readout device is available. We have many years of experience in supporting our partners to perform (bacterial) species detection and drug resistance detection on that platform. Typically we use fluorescence microarrays for detection, however the technology platform is also open to (and has been used for) other biosensing principles.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

We look for projects requiring an established technology platform to either integrate biosensor for point-of-care applications, or for integrating their assays (e.g. amplification + hybridiziation on a fluorescence microarray).
