I have been involved in city-wide wastewater epidemiology and surveillance in Bangalore, India since 2020, where we set up a large open drain and STP wastewater network and conducted surveillance for Covid-19, H1N1, and AMR. In addition, I am very interested and involved in hospital-based AMR trends in urban and rural areas. Recently, my work has expanded to looking at the flow of AMR from urban to rural areas through water sources. My expertise is in molecular biology and microbiology techniques, research in low resource settings, and clinical sense-making. I am also a very experienced grant writer and look forward to contributing to the grant conceptualization, planning and writing process.
I am looking for international projects based on water or wastewater epidemiology and surveillance for AMR. Any project dealing with AMR in environmental sources other than water (e.g. soil, farm produce, marine life etc) is also of interest.
