  The A. Duisheyev KNIIV is a leading scientific institution for the development and improvement of biotechnologies in the field of diagnostics of immunology, genetic engineering related to solving animal health problems. A new area of research is the development of enzyme immunoassay systems for veterinary purposes.

• Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

  Globally, there are more antibiotics in animal production than in medicine, even if in some countries the share of animal production is only 20% of total consumption. The high share of consumption in animal husbandry is primarily due to the fact that antibiotics reduce the dose to prevent food-borne diseases. The aim is epidemiological surveillance of the use of antibiotics and the spread of antibiotic resistance used in the Kyrgyz Republic. This may include the study of factors influencing the development and spread of antibiotic resistance, testing the stability of antibiotics in various conditions and the development of methods to optimize the use of antibiotics in animal husbandry. The ultimate goal is to improve the control and ensure that antibiotics remain effective in the treatment of bacterial infections and prevent their development.
