17th JPIAMR transnational call for research projects - AMR Interventions 2024 (IMPACT)

This is a match-making section for JPIAMR 17th call - AMR Interventions 2024 (IMPACT).

General Information

  • Type: Partner looking for project
  • Organisation: Translational Pharmacology of Italian Nation Research Council
  • Country: Italy (IT)
  • Career stage: Other.

Research area

  • Scientific area(s) of the call:
    1. Topic 1: Design novel or improved interventions to prevent, mitigate and /or treat fungal infections, which are resistant to treatments and/or are at risk of developing resistance
  • Subtopics:

    1. Improve and/or compare and/ or evaluate the effectiveness of existing interventions (e.g. cost effectiveness clinical utility, socio-economic adaptability, reducing AMR emergence, spread, transmission, treatment etc.)

  • One Health Setting:

    Human Health

Animal Health (incl. wildlife, livestock, acquatic organisms, and companion animals)

  • Keywords:

AMR cell reporter biofilm formation assay desiccation surviving assay phagocytic killing assay

  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

We have the expertise to assay the antiproliferative, anti-biofilm and bactericide effect of natural and synthetic compounds on gram-positive bacteria models or gram-negative bacteria models. Further, we have capability to measure the effect of the treatments or on the capability of bacteria to survive in desiccation conditions or escape to the killing mediated by phagocyte. We are looking for project that need to conduct such kind of studies

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

We currently study the interaction of emergent gram positive-AMR with host, but in parallel we are involved in a project aimed to define the antimicrobic effect of several kind of nanoformulation based on synthetic and natural molecules. We are looking for project that seeking collaborators to conduct such kind of studies, and we would also be available to help write the application
