- Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:
Zanzibar faces a significant challenge with multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB), a strain of the disease resistant to standard first-line treatment. With a prevalence of MDR-TB estimated at 3.2% among new TB cases (WHO, 2022), immediate action is crucial to prevent further transmission and save lives. This project proposes a comprehensive approach to address MDR-TB in Zanzibar through integrated interventions focused on prevalence assessment, improved patient care, and capacity building
