This is a match-making section for JPIAMR 17th call - AMR Interventions 2024 (IMPACT).

General Information

  • Project title: In situ imaging of fungal infection for rapid and improved diagnostics
  • Type: Project looking for partner
  • Organisation: King\'s College London
  • Country: United Kingdom (UK)
  • Career stage: Other.

Research area

  • Scientific area(s) of the call:
    1. Topic 1: Design novel or improved interventions to prevent, mitigate and /or treat fungal infections, which are resistant to treatments and/or are at risk of developing resistance
  • Subtopics:

  • One Health Setting:

    Human Health

  • Keywords:

infection imaging; PET/CT; fungal infection; radiotracer; diagnostics

  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

We have expertise in chemistry, radiochemistry, in vitro screening of radiotracers in microbial cells, and in vivo BioD of radiotracers. We are looking for partners for our proposed project with expertise in in vivo fungal infection models (with or without radiochemistry and PET/CT facilities).

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

We are working to develop in situ nonivasive image-based diagnostics for fungal infections. From our in vitro studies, we have selected lead radiotracers for further evaluation in the infection model. Therefore, the next step is to evaluate them in clinically relevant fungal infection models.
