Animal Health (incl. wildlife, livestock, acquatic organisms, and companion animals) Environment (incl. natural and built)dermatophytes; zoophilic infections multidrug resistance; AFST
Scientific expertise include diagnostics, epidemiology and treatment of fungal and bacterial infections, especially those caused by zoophilic dermatophytes. Evaluation of the correlation between the enzymatic activity of pathogens and their virulence and determination of drug resistance. Experience in searching for alternative methods of treating mycosis (using phototherapy and methylene blue); analysis of the impact on the MIC values of antifungal substances in combination with antiparasitic substances and organic selenium compounds. Experience working in a veterinary microbiology laboratory.
Participation in a project on the efficient diagnosis of the main fungal pathogens occurring in humans and animals, taking into account their potential as zoonoses and reverse zoonoses and/or searching for and analyzing combinations of non-antifungal substances with typical antifungal substances used in humans and animals in terms of reducing the MIC values of multidrug-resistant strains.
