  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE) stands as Sweden\'s foremost research institute and innovation partner, comprising a multidisciplinary constellation of over 3,000 researchers, scientists, and problem-solvers with a broad range of skills. RISE has a broad infrastructure, experience in large project consortiums within AMR (e.g., MURYXIN, APRINHA, IMI-ENABLE, Antibiotic Smart Sweden, FORMAMP), and is permanently open to establishing new collaborations and participating in the preparation of project proposals. Our research teams possess expertise in microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, biomaterials, immunology, in vivo infection models, advanced microscopy, chemistry, biochemistry, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metagenomics, bioinformatics, and AI, among others. Specific examples: Antibiotic resistance characterization and quantification through culture-based methods, qPCR, multi-OMIC approaches; Antimicrobial susceptibility testing; Handling and analysis of wastewater and environmental samples; Wastewater-based epidemiology; AMR selection experiments; Biofilms; Accurate strain typing and identification; Horizontal gene transfer; Plasmid typing and characterization; Drug discovery, formulation and development of novel antimicrobial compounds (including peptides), and surfaces; Biomarker discovery; Development of methods for rapid diagnostics. You are very welcome to contact us. We will be happy to explore possibilities, discuss project needs, and find the perfect partner within RISE. More information about what we at RISE can offer: https://www.ri.se/en/offer/together-against-antibiotic-resistance-our-offer

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

We at RISE have ongoing research focused on infection control, development and evaluation of medical devices and pharmaceutical products, assessment of AMR development, discovery of biomarkers, development of methods for rapid diagnostics, and community engagement and public awareness. Our wide range of expertise makes us suitable for joining a wide variety of projects in this JPI-AMR call. And again, we would be very happy to talk to you and discuss possibilities, project needs, and find you the perfect partner within RISE.
