  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

    I lead and world-leading research centre in architecture, urbanism and global heritage, looking at the intersections of virtual and digital technology role in recording, preserving and recovery of architecture, urban and cultural heritage, as a human-centred activities. We study vulnerable architecture in conflict, post-conflict cities, urban and rural settlements affected by natural disasters nd climate change, as well as digitise world heritage sites, archaeological sites and develop real-life virtual environment to study, analyse, and engage with built environment and inaccessible heritage and historic areas. We work around the use of digital humanities, architectural and urban heritage research, anthology, material cultural and socio-spatial practices of everyday life. We work with communities, build capacity and reach out to vulnerable areas and communities in the world. We have projects that span 12 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

    We are interested in being a partner on an inter/multi-disciplinary project that considers cultural and urban heritage as a key aspect of our response to climate change and how we learn from the lessons of the past and from disappearing landscapes. We have research expertise and active projects in Post-conflict Cities like Belfast (UK), Mosul (Iraq), and Historic cities in Ahmadabad (India), Cairo (Egypt), Beijing (China), Baghdad (Iraq), Nottingham (UK).
