NTNU Social Research is a research institute that develops and conveys knowledge within a broad spectre of societal issues vital to the development of our society. The Studio Apertura department is dedicated to researching risk, crisis, and disaster issues of importance to society at large, communities, organisations, and individuals. We apply a wide range of theoretical and methodological approaches to navigate topics of complexity, relations, and power.
In this call, we are interested in joining applications within sub-theme 3, "The representation of crises", particularly concerning the social intersection between memory, artistic expressions, and memorials are of particular interest. We are looking for humanities partners interested in driving an application that can create synergies with social sciences—particularly sociology, anthropology, and political science.
