The aim of this research project is to explore the role of "Happy Makers" as new leaders in the context of the future of work, particularly in managing hybrid work for employee well-being. The future of work is witnessing significant transformations due to technological advancements, globalization, and changing societal dynamics. As organizations adapt to these changes, employee well-being emerges as a critical factor in shaping the future workplace. Well-being encompasses a multidimensional perspective, including physical, mental, and social aspects of an individual\'s overall state of health. Millennials have distinct expectations regarding the work environment and prioritize factors such as purpose, fulfillment, and work-life balance. They seek opportunities for personal growth, meaningful work, and a positive organizational culture. Employee happiness is highly valued by millennials, who perceive it as integral to their overall well-being and job satisfaction. The use of technology, implementation of hybrid work, and the need for higher levels of well-being (particularly in the millennials), among others, describe a new context for the future of work. In this context, our project aims to analyze the need for new leadership that responds to the characteristics of the future of work. Systematic reviews in the field will be conducted. From European statistical surveys (e.g., European Working Conditions Survey), econometric models will be estimated. In addition, interventions in 2 organizations per country will be developed. Main outcomes will be freely available through a platform showing the results of the project. This project is part of objectives 5, 8, and 11 of the SDGs and contributes to the ecological transition by facilitating a work model that reduces travel. The project also contributes to the eco-social contract by guaranteeing ethical leadership. By so doing, organizations contribute to sustainability, justice, and responsibility principles.
